Wrekin Blue cheese is a fairly local raw milk cheese to our Ludlow shop, made near Bridgenorth in Shropshire. Wrekin Blue cheese is quite firm with a really wrinkly rind, full of flavour, it has an almost smoky mineral flavour to it. ; Soft and lovely, made using traditional methods with unpasteurised milk. Now to go off cheese for a moment, the Wrekin is a long hill in Shropshire (8 hectares!), a Midlands saying if you get lost or diverted a long way is saying you went round the Wrekin! Being a Coventry girl, I knew the saying long before we moved here and I discovered the lovely hill - all became clear!
