A lovely cheese stack for a party or a small wedding, the Evie is full of popular flavours in a lovely little cheese cake, perfect for any kind of party!  Standing at 21.5cm tall with a 20cm base this is a lovely little stack feeding 45 - 90 although you can have extra cheese with the Evie, up to 7.6kg if you double up all of the base cheeses!

If you like the look of the Evie but would like a bit more to go round, we can pop in a Wensleydale and cranberry that is double the height, so adding another 1kg and 4cm in height.  Also we can double up the base layer, so it sits on a 2kg round Worcester Hop, with the addition of a Whittington Red to go with the Whittington Oak for the second level.  You can also have both of those options making Evie 7.6kg so feeding 100 or so.

The cheeses from the bottom to the top are:

Worcester Hop (previously Hereford Hop): Half of the base is a really tangy, creamy cheddar, made near Worcester and rolled in toasted hops from Herefordshire. Invented in 1990 it's softer than other Cheddars and has a strong distinctive flavour. This is a really popular cheese in these parts, so much so that we sold over 100kg of it last Christmas. (Recently changed it's name from Hereford Hop, this is the version that we've always sold and we're sticking with it!) Cow's milk, Pasteurised, Vegetarian, 20cm x 5cm. 1kg

Whittington Red: If you'd like a slightly milder cheese in the selection,  Whittington Red is a lovely creamy gentle cheese to have as the other half of your base.  Great if you're going to have kids to feed or just those who don't want anything too strong. if you don't tell us any different, the standard base is Hop and Whittington Red

If you'd prefer it, we can easily swap in a Whittington Oak instead of one of the above, a lovely smoked cheddar in for the same price.  Having the two cheeses on the base means you have a bit more selection for your guests and won't be overloaded by just one large cheese on the bottom. Whittington Red and Oak are Cow's milk, please let us know in the text box in the checkout. Pasteurised, Vegetarian, 20cm x 5cm. 1kg

Wensleydale and cranberry, always a crowd pleaser for those sweet cheese lovers! The base of this stack is 17cm wide x 4cm and its made with vegetarian rennet and pasteiurised milk, 1kg.

Delice de Cremier :  A 1kg Delice is a beautiful cheese.  Rich and creamy, it's full of luxury. Pasteurised Cow's milk 15cm x 7cm

Black Bomber is a very popular Welsh vegetarian cheddar with a creamy texture and a full flavour from Snowdonia Cheese. The rich cheddar flavour is enhanced by the creamy texture. Suitable for vegetarians, made with pasteurised milk.. 200g 9cm x 5cm

Dorstone cheese is a wonderfully smooth ashed goats cheese from the Neals Yard Creamery. Cut open the slightly funky looking exterior and you'll be presented with gorgeous, soft, pure white moosey goats cheese yummyness. It's a great topper to a wedding stack and looks amazing on any cheese board. Pasteurised and traditional rennet, 200g. 5cm x 7cm

For a gathering we recommend 50 - 100g per person, depending if the cheese is to be eaten straight after the meal or later in the evening and with other food or by itself.  (So the lower amount it shows as feeding is based on 50g and the higher is 100g) We can very happily advise over email so drop us a line on info@mousetrapcheese.co.uk for ideas for a bespoke cheese board for your wedding or event. We love a bit of notice so we can keep organised and ripen your cheese to perfection, so please do order in advance if you can, you choose delivery date in the checkout.  If you order last minute and we are short of any cheeses we will contact you before we send so please ensure you leave a phone number that will be answered.
