I was asked to create the best value cake I could for a gathering of 60, so this was the outcome! Feeding 50 to 100, (also with bigger versions available) the Louise party cheese is a great stack for a medium gathering at a great price, coming in at 4.9kg and 32cm high to the top of the heart, it would feed up to 50 for an evening do or up to 100 for after dinner cheese if your just wanted a small nibble or had other food too. We would swap the Camembert for a Cornish Brie and the brie heart for a Godminster cheddar heart to make it veg, just check out below for instructions. You can also add in a 1kg Whittington Red if you want a bit more to go round, it would match the Whittington oak in height so the second layer would be 2 semi circles, 5.9kg, (twice as high as in the main picture as shown in picture 2), also make the stilton bigger (2cm higher than shown) ending up with 6.75kg. Please let us know in the checkout message if you want the wax off the cheddar so it's just cheese colour.

The cheeses from the bottom to the top:
5cm high cut of Stilton O: From the Colston Bassett Dairy, this is a beautiful Stilton, creamy, full of flavour, really lovely. Pasteurised, cow's milk, vegetarian, 1.75kg 21cm x 5cm.
Whittington Oak: This is a really gorgeous smoked cheese. Smooth and creamy with a wonderful smoke - from real oak chips. It's a game changer. it will come as 2 semi circles cut to half height. Pasteurised, cow's milk, vegetarian, 1kg 20cm x3cm. 1kg
Inglewhite Mature Cheddar We cut a tall cheese in half to give you this lovely 1.5kg slice, about 14.5 cm x 7cm high. This can come with the Wax on or off, just let us know in the message in the checkout if you'd like it off. Made with pasteurised milk and vegetarian rennet, its a lovely tasty proper cheddar, perfect if everyones likely to be having a good drink with the cheese!
Camembert: The classic French cheese, giving another soft cheese option to this selection 11cm x 4cm, cow's milk, pasteurised, normal rennet.
Finn: A mature, double cream cheese made up the road at Neal's Yard Creamery, Dorstone. It has a firm texture with a fresh creamy acidity. Weighing about 200g, they are 9cm wide by 4cm. Pasteurised, cow's
milk,vegetarian 9cm x 4cm. 200g.
Neuf Chatel: This lovely heart cheese is believed to date back to the 6th Century, so a few Centuries younger than St Valentine himself. Its a soft, slightly crumbly mould ripened soft cheese originating from the village of Neufchâtel-en-Bray in northern Normandy and is made with pasteurised cows milk and animal rennet. 200g sands about 9cm
If you like the sound of the good value Louise, we've made a larger version too!
For the larger version of Louise, we cut a larger slice of Stilton, so 7cm, which weighs 2.6kg, and a whole whittington Oak/Whittington red layer instead of one cut in half, that adds a further 1kg of cheese into the stack. So you end up with a 6.75kg cake.
For a gathering we recommend 50 - 100g per person, depending if the cheese is to be eaten straight after the meal or later in the evening and with other food or by itself. (So the lower amount it shows as feeding is based on 50g and the higher is 100g) We can very happily advise over email so drop us a line on info@mousetrapcheese.co.uk for ideas for a bespoke cheese board for your wedding or event.
