Worcester Gold cheese is a gorgeous cheddar cheese from Croome Cuisine; Lovely, extra creamy, mid strength cheddar with a tangy flavour, melts in the mouth! Worcester gold is pasteurised and vegetarian.
Worcester Gold is a blended cheddar, which means the cheese makers can get a real consistency of flavour and create the cheese to their exact profile - a bit like blending Whiskey. So if it's a bit of a mild blend, they'll add a few more mature cheddars in there to boost the flavour profile. Worcester Hop is vegetarian and pasteurised.

My wife and I discovered this cheese during a trip to Hereford a few years ago - we live in West Wales (North Pembrokeshire). We've tried to find it locally but it's not possible, with a perhaps understandable orientation to local, Welsh cheeses. We did try another Herefordshire supplier whose packaging put us off a repeat. Having shopped at The Mousetrap on other subsequent visits to Hereford and having gained a favourable impression from the knowledgable staff, we thought we'd try once more. The outcome has been much better than expected, with everything in the order properly packed and secure. We're not yet sure of the frequency, but the order process will become a regular repeat as the other cheeses tried in the same shipment have all been top quality.
A superb cheese. Full flavour with a slightly salty tang. It has become on of my favourites.
Expensive but worth every penny
Bought for our anniversary celebration and had so many positive comments about it, I've since had to get some more but not many places stock it around Malvern. The Mousetrap cheese shop were excellent with good communication and timely arrival of the cheese when I needed it. Thank you!
