Rutland Red, wonderfully tasty red leicester cheese

Rutland Red is a really lovely Red Leicester cheese, actually made in Leicestershire.  Full of caramel notes and a real complexity of flavour.  The cheese is wrapped in buttered cloth and matured for 6 months, giving the cheese a wonderful, slightly flaky consistency and the gorgeous depth of colour.  Gathering many gold awards at recent International and Global cheese awards, it's not surprising that this has become a firm favourite in the shop!
